Do NOT buy Amtech / Inventec fluxes (really any name-brand fluxes) from Aliexpress, Amazon, or eBay! You will get a fake tube, guaranteed!
If you want to buy the real stuff from good manufacturers, go here:

I have used several different fluxes from all of these manufacturers, and they all work well.
You DO need to get a flux that’s specific for what you’re working on – you should consider:
-
The flux should be designed for and match the soldering temperatures you’re using. Flux designed for leaded temperatures won’t work well at lead-free temperatures.
-
The tube flux should be compatible with your solder core flux – if your solder core flux is a type ROL0 no-clean flux, then your additional flux from the tube should also be ROL0 no-clean.
-
The flux activity should be no more than what you need – you might need a bit more active flux for rework of vintage electronics, for example because there will be oxidation on the joints that you need to desolder.
