AV is kind of a thing of the past, these days it is mostly EDR which is real-time monitoring

Which operating system.

Microsoft Defender Antivirus covers a lot. But better than anti virus is being able to isolate such as with a vm . Being able to scan with virus total in a space like that.

I used to do it for files shared on the chats but it is too much to manually do anymore

For windows,

stick with windows defender
And use virustotal if you need a second opinion

@trishtango You were asking about AV and I recommended EDR instead. This is a newer recommendation by John Hammond who is a trustworthy source of info … even if he went to the Coast Guard Academy :smiley: This one is free, open source, and relatively easy to use/configure.
