Tricare Records: Download Before Deadline

Concise Summary:
The Defense Department is transitioning to its new MHS Genesis records system, decommissioning the Tricare patient portal by April 1st. This means that all medical records on the older system will not transfer to the new platform. Beneficiaries are being urged to download their digital health records from the Tricare online patient portal before this date to ensure they retain copies of their medical history. The transition aims to streamline patient care and provide a more robust electronic healthcare platform for military personnel. While medical providers will still have access to patient data, after April 1st, patients will need to request physical copies of their records by completing a form and scheduling an appointment.

User Message: Download your health records from Tricare between the migration to MHS Genesis on 01 April. I know it’s been posted before, but I’m sure there are some like me that probably needed the reminder.

MHS GENESIS. That cost $5.5BN, loses and/or mixes up records.
It also changes the gender of females to males in the system. That means females who need medical treatment will have to pay out of pocket, even though they are not at fault. TRICARE will not pay until the company LEIDOS changes that.
